The Mountains and Me

Artist Statement
The Mountains and Me is more than a painting—it’s a testimony in color, a prophetic dialogue between heaven and earth, surrender and revelation, stillness and transformation. It is a visual expression of what it means to walk By His Spirit.
The bold fuchsia mountains represent passion, intercession, and divine encounter. Throughout scripture, mountains are places of revelation—where God invites us higher, where faith moves what once felt immovable (Matthew 17:20–21). These mountains mark the terrain of my own spiritual journey, calling me into deeper trust and intimate communion.
Beneath them, the blue river flows—symbolizing the steady movement of the Spirit. Blue speaks of wisdom, faithfulness, and abiding presence (Psalm 1:3, Ezekiel 47:12). The river nourishes and guides, reminding us that we are never alone in the process.
At the center stands a fruit-bearing tree—once undefined, now fully realized. Rooted by the river, it draws life from His Spirit. Its growth speaks to identity, surrender, and transformation. What began as uncertainty became a living metaphor of faith and purpose (Jeremiah 17:7–8, John 15:5).
Every brushstroke was an act of worship, a step into the unknown. This painting embodies the journey from questioning to clarity, from striving to stillness, from doing to becoming.
Like the mountains that stand firm and the river that never stops flowing, I am learning to remain, to trust, and to be led—By His Spirit.
